Our mission
Trucking Software Guide exists to make a confusing software market easier to navigate. We organize products by operating fit, explain pricing clearly and focus on what changes the daily work.
How we score software
Our reviews consider workflow fit, usability, implementation, pricing transparency, support, integrations and long-term operating value. The weighting changes by category because dispatch software, drayage systems and rate tools solve different problems.
How we aggregate user ratings
We do not rely on a single review site. Each product’s user rating is a weighted average of the public ratings on independent review platforms — Capterra, G2, Trustpilot, Google and others — weighted by each platform’s review count. Two rules keep the number honest: we use Capterra to represent the Gartner review pool (GetApp and Software Advice republish the same reviews, so they are never listed or double-counted), and testimonials published on a vendor’s own website or curated by the vendor are always excluded. Driver-app ratings from Google Play and the Apple App Store are reported separately as a driver app rating: they measure the driver’s mobile experience, not the whole platform, so they never mix into the platform score. Every rating we use links back to its live source and shows the date we checked it.
Editorial independence
Vendors cannot purchase a higher ranking or edit our conclusions. If we later earn referral revenue, it will be clearly disclosed and will not determine product order.
Corrections and updates
Software changes quickly. We date major comparisons, review important pricing and product changes, and welcome documented corrections from vendors and users.
